Show your students that math can be fun and meaningful by providing learning opportunities for them that include many math investigations, hands-on activities, centers, interactive software and files for the Smartboard. These are some of the items I have created and used with great success in my own classroom!

I had a hard time finding colorful graphs for my documents so I created these!


The Math Common Core for second grade state that students will be able to use a variety of strategies to solve word problems. This card set has a recording sheet too! It is great for Daily 5 math or math centers!

Students are being required to write to explain their thinking in math. They need to be able to read and use math vocabulary terms for success on classroom and state assessments. Display this word wall to help your students to master Common Core math vocabulary.

This poster set includes coins, their value and touch money counting points too!I have had great success with this method.

Set up your Estimation Station with a complete set of posters that include signs for items and counters you probably already have in your room and some fun seasonal items too!






Help your students to be fluent with both addition and subtraction by teaching them as fact families!


Take your students for a ride on the interactive Comparing Numbers Express! The trains are animated to move along the screen when tapped and sound clips of train whistles make the activity lots of fun!

This is a card matching center for your littlest learners! The children match the correct numeral to the card that shows the same number of spots on the ladybug!



In keeping with the ladybug theme, this Smartboard activity will help your students to learn correct number formation through rhyme!



 This is the teaching and modeling slide.


Students use the pen tools to write the number on the lines. This would make for a great center activity!



For the Wearin' of the Green, get out some green candies and have a toss and record game for on and off! Use ten for practicing ten pairs and more or fewer to suit your classroom needs!



Teach your students related addition and subtraction facts to sums of ten with Smartboard Fact Family Houses. Students drag the numbers onto the lines or write them with the pen tools.



Have fun with chocolate bar fractions without the sticky mess! This set includes printable chocolate bars and activity sheets!

Ding Dong! The Doorbell Rang is a great book for teaching fair shares! With this activity, students create their own booklet and use printable cookie manipulatives to share equally with friends!
