Giveaways Galore and a Tech Tip

Hi Friends! I just wanted to let you know about two FANTASTIC giveaways going on!

First, head on over to see Kathy at First Grade a la Carte! She is having several days of giveaways to celebrate her birthday! I'm helping her out with an item for her giveaway along with some of your favorite teacher authors. You won't want to miss this one!

After that, you've got to stop by and say hello to Lori at Teaching with Love and Laughter. She's got a really fun recorder that I'm sure you would love to have for your classroom!Enter her giveaway while you're there!

So here's a quick tech tip:

Being fairly new to blogging, I have discovered most things by accident playing around and trying things out.

If you want to share a sale, giveaway or great blog post, just copy the HTML code from your friend's blog button, switch to HTML when posting in Blogger, paste the code under your text, preview to check on your buttons and you have a photo and link all in one! Easy Peasy! :) Try it out sometime with my button and see how it works!

If you do visit, tell them Jeannine sent you! It's always nice to know when people give you a shout out!

Candy Week and a Freebie!

You know what the kids will be thinking of this week! So, why not go along with it, right? This is candy week at school! I love all of the fun things going on in the classroom this time of year!

To add to all of the excitement, we're taking a field trip to tour the Sanders Candy Factory to see them making the giant chocolate bunnies and all sorts of other goodies too! Can't wait!

I made some telling time activities in the peeps theme for my kiddos this week! Click on the picture below to grab a copy from my Dropbox!

Thanks for visiting! Have a very happy week my friends!

Marshmallow Bunny Center Winners!

Congrats to lovely ladies, Julie, Michelle and Liz! Check your emails for the marshmallow bunnies fact family center!I hope your class will think it's sweet! If you missed out on this one, you can head over to my TPT shop and check it out!

I'm working on a new telling time to five minute intervals activity! I can't wait to share it with you! :) I tried it out today and the class had a rockin' good time around the clock!

Marshmallow Bunny Peeps Math Center

Peeps!!!! I'm not much into candy anymore like I was as a kid, but I still love my marshmallow bunnies at Easter time!I could eat the whole package myself! They're definitely best a little stale. Give it a try~ poke a few holes in the wrapper and let them get nice and chewy before eating!

Anyway, I wanted to share some cuteness I just finished for spring and Easter time!

I thought it would be so cute to put the cards in a small Easter basket at the center! There is a recording sheet too for the students to write the four related facts in the fact family. I love these cute graphics from Maree Truelove. They look good enough to eat!

Whenever I have a new item, I randomly choose three and send it free in a few days, so leave me your email in the comments below and tell me what candy is your weakness! :)

Whatever your plans are tonight for St. Patty's Day, be safe and have fun!

Freebies for St. Patty's Day!

I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel! Assessments and report cards are all wrapped up for this marking period! I've been busy getting ready for our last session of conferences next week. My kiddos have several class books ready for display and we will be publishing one more just in time. I thought the parents would enjoy reading what they children are grateful for with this Lucky Me book.

I always have the parents write a little happy note to their child and leave it on their desk!

St. Patrick's Day Freebies and Fun!

Top of the mornin' friends! I'm linking up with Sharing Kindergarten for a fun St. Patty's Day linky party. I can't wait for the Wearin' of the Green! Yes, I'm Irish!

Let's start by getting in the spirit with some toe-tappin' music and the best show ever!

 Here's a little FYI about me~

Before getting my teaching degree, I taught dance for many years. I started lessons at age four and went to college on a vocal music and dance scholarship. I had the time of my life performing and traveling. I love bringing music and performing arts into the classroom! I am a tap dancer, but my dream is to learn Irish step dancing! I have been to see Riverdance every time the performance comes to town! You have got to check out the AMAZING talent in this performance. I always show some Riverdance video clips to my students on St. Patrick's Day. They ask to watch them over and over! This is the finale!

You've got to stay with it till the end, because that is the best part! Click on the picture to watch!

Goosebumps!

Because I'm Irish, I really get into St. Patrick's Day with my kiddos.

Here's a cute little leprechaun poem freebie for your poetry folders.:) I made it in black and white too so your students can color the pictures!

This is a little leprechaun kisses treat bag topper. I like to put gold-foiled Hershey kisses inside!

Set up a sight word literacy center for the month of March with a black pot or festive shamrock bowl and add these playing card printables. Kids will have a blast with this sight word game which is a little like Left, Center, Right.

This is a fun ordering numbers activity for the SMART Board. Students drag the gold coins and place them in order from least to greatest and greatest to least.

Get out some green candies. gold coins or green bingo chips and have a fun game of shake and spill to practice sums to ten. Make it more challenging by using 20 candies in the cup!

Last year, I had a green day! Each child brought in a treat or food item to share in the green theme. Some shared green pencils, beaded necklaces and decorations too! It was such a hit that it is going to be an annual tradition. This is a picture of some of our goodies!

Remember to play some Riverdance music from the soundtrack! :)

You should head on over and link up your St. Patty's Day activities and get in on the fun!
