Christmas Think About Maps~ Check!

Yes! I'm feeling quite accomplished these days! I just hope the feeling lasts! My Christmas shopping is almost finished, the house is decorated, the classroom decorations are nearly done, report cards and conferences are over and several big projects have been completed!

This is just a quick post to let you know that the Christmas edition of Think About Maps are finally done as well! That's another big to do to cross off of my long list! I hope you feel on top of things too. It's so easy to get overwhelmed this time of year!

These maps are designed to get the kiddos doing some higher level thinking about a variety of high interest December themes! I use some of these for whole group instruction at the SMARTboard and some are great for a meeting of the minds during partner work or for independent work. If you have a Daily 5 classroom, these would be great to have for your rotations. Click on the picture to read a detailed description of the activities!

It helps to have a visual of all of things that have been accomplished when you're crazy busy! I'll be making a list, checking it twice and crossing things off one at a time until January when I can take a breather!
